Brussels, January 15 (Hibya) – NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte stated that during his phone call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, they discussed the worsening energy situation and the humanitarian crisis caused by Russia’s attacks.

Noting that the primary focus of the call was the country’s energy infrastructure and humanitarian situation, Rutte said: “I spoke with Zelensky about the energy situation in Ukraine, the horrific human suffering caused by Russia’s attacks, and the ongoing efforts to end the war.”
Emphasizing their determination to preserve Ukraine’s defense capacity and establish peace, Rutte stated: “We are determined to ensure that Ukraine continues to receive the vital support it needs to defend itself today and ultimately secure a lasting peace.”
