Schoof: Cooperation between the Netherlands and North Rhine-Westphalia strengthens Europe’s competitiveness
Amsterdam, October 30 (Hibya) – Dutch Prime Minister Dick Schoof stated that relations with Germany’s North Rhine-Westphalia (NRW) state are of “immeasurable value” to the Netherlands.
Speaking in Noordwijk at the NRW–Netherlands Future Forum alongside NRW Prime Minister Hendrik Wüst, Schoof emphasized the need to strengthen political and economic cooperation between the two countries.
The Prime Minister said, “More than 2,000 Dutch companies operate in NRW. The trade volume between the Netherlands and North Rhine-Westphalia, exceeding 60 billion euros, is seen as a driving force of European competitiveness. This cooperation serves as an example for the rest of Europe.”
