Sharif: We stand in full solidarity with the Saudi leadership and our Saudi brothers
Islamabad, September 13 (Hibya) – Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif spoke with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, condemning the Houthi attacks on Saudi Arabia and conveying a message of solidarity.
Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, during his conversation with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, reiterated Pakistan’s position against attacks targeting the Kingdom’s civilian and economic infrastructure.
Sharing details of the conversation, Sharif said, “I reiterated Pakistan’s strongest condemnation of the recent Houthi attacks targeting civilian and economic infrastructure in the Kingdom, and also expressed our full solidarity with the Saudi leadership and our Saudi brothers.”
Drawing attention to the regional and global implications of the attacks, Sharif said, “Such reckless actions threaten regional peace and stability, with serious consequences for the global economy and energy security.”
Sharif concluded, “I deeply appreciate the wise and resolute leadership demonstrated by His Royal Highness during this challenging period. Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar and I will continue our efforts to de-escalate tensions in the region and strengthen peace and stability.”
