Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha said he met with Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski during his visit to Kyiv and that they discussed security and military cooperation.

Expressing his satisfaction with the visit, Sybiha said, “I am pleased to welcome my Polish friend and colleague Radosław Sikorski to Kyiv. I especially appreciate this visit at a time when Russian attacks are intensifying.”

Referring to Sikorski’s words, Sybiha said, “As Radek said while boarding the train: ‘The harder Russia attacks Ukraine, the more we must go there.’ This is courage and solidarity translated into action.”

Addressing the main items on the agenda of the talks, Sybiha said, “Security was at the center of our discussions. I thanked Poland for its military assistance, including the new package announced following the latest Ramstein meeting.”

Describing efforts to strengthen Ukraine, Sybiha said, “We discussed strengthening Ukraine’s air defenses, expanding defense cooperation, increasing sanctions pressure on Russia, and targeting its military-industrial complex and the resources that sustain its war.”

Sybiha concluded his statement by saying, “The latest attacks have once again shown how closely our security is interconnected. Russia is already carrying out attacks near the Ukraine-Poland border at Yahodyn. Our response must be joint: Ukraine needs stronger defenses, and Russia must pay a higher price for every new attack.”
