The Netherlands supports firefighting efforts in Spain
Amsterdam, August 17 (Hibya) – Dutch Defense Minister Ruben Brekelmans announced the deployment of two Chinook helicopters to help Spain combat severe wildfires.
Dutch Defense Minister Brekelmans said that the Netherlands had deployed two Chinook helicopters to assist Spain in its fight against severe wildfires.
He added that a detachment of about 60 soldiers would fly there tomorrow for two weeks, stating: “In this way we are helping a friendly country to protect lives and preserve nature.”
