Trump says Melania gave him a new perspective on Putin
Washington, July 15 (Hibya) – Trump spoke during a press conference at the White House with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte about his wife’s views and their conversation after he spoke on the phone with Putin.
Trump said: “I came home and told the First Lady, ‘I spoke with Vladimir today. It was a great conversation.’ She said, ‘Really? A new city was just hit.’”
He also recounted another moment when Melania said: “That’s strange, because they just bombed a nursing home.”
Trump told reporters that while his talks with Putin were always cordial, he came to realize that as long as hostilities continue, words have no meaning.
On Monday, Trump agreed for the first time to supply weapons to Ukraine.
