Albanese: We remember with gratitude all our heroes who served in the Korean War
Canberra, October 28 (Hibya) – Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese, in a statement marking the 75th anniversary of the Korean War, paid tribute with respect and gratitude to Australian soldiers who served in the conflict.
Albanese recalled that 75 years ago Australians were called to serve in the Korean War, stating: “More than 17,000 ordinary Australians became part of an extraordinary mission. We do not forget their names, we remember their courage, and we express our gratitude to them all.”
He added that during his visit to South Korea, he laid a wreath in memory of the soldiers who lost their lives in the Korean War, saying: “Today, upon my arrival in South Korea, it was an honour for me to lay a wreath in their memory. We will not forget.”
