Araghchi: It was not Iran that killed diplomacy
Tehran, November 3 (Hibya) – Iranian Foreign Minister Seyyed Abbas Araghchi said that it was not Iran that “killed diplomacy,” but those who “blew up the negotiating table.”
Araghchi stated that in the past 48 hours, the “lie” by Israel and the United States claiming that their illegal bombardment of Iran was conducted under the pretext of an “imminent nuclear threat” has been completely debunked.
He emphasized that the Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) has clearly said that Iran “has not developed and is not developing nuclear weapons.”
“The Omani Foreign Minister, Mr. Al Busaidi, as a trusted mediator by both Iran and the United States, has clearly stated that there has never been any ‘Iranian nuclear threat.’ It was not Iran that killed diplomacy but those who blew up the negotiating table,” Araghchi said.
He pointed out that Israel is deliberately targeting diplomacy because “its real fear is the failure of its own ‘demonization project’ against Iran. When the U.S. President took office, he promised to end Netanyahu’s deceptive policies carried out during the Obama and Biden administrations.”
Araghchi concluded that “it is still not too late to change course.”
