Merz: We must develop renewable energy in a balanced way
Berlin, October 3 (Hibya) – German Chancellor Friedrich Merz emphasized the importance of reliable energy production, stating that investments in renewable energy must continue in a balanced manner.
Following his participation in a meeting in the state of Schleswig-Holstein, Merz said, “We need reliable energy production. The facilities we support must not remain idle. Therefore, we must develop renewable energy in a measured and planned way.”
Merz noted that Schleswig-Holstein plays a key role in the energy transition and thanked State Premier Daniel Günther for the invitation. He stressed that Germany, while ensuring its energy security, will not compromise on its environmental sustainability goals.
