Cassis speaks with Ukraine’s Foreign Minister Sybiha
Bern, January 2 (Hibya) – Swiss Foreign Minister Ignazio Cassis held a telephone conversation with Ukraine’s Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha.
Swiss Foreign Minister Cassis held his first phone call in his capacity as the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office for 2026 with Ukraine’s Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha.
Noting that the current situation on the ground was discussed during the call, Cassis emphasized that the Helsinki Principles constitute the core roadmap of the chairmanship.
Cassis stated that Switzerland continues to maintain its firm position in support of a just peace in Ukraine based on international law, underscoring that efforts toward this goal will continue.
