Baghaei stated that these reports were fabricated to generate media propaganda against the Islamic Republic of Iran and therefore lack any credibility or validity.

He emphasized that Iran is a member of the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT) and that its nuclear program is subject to the most rigorous inspections by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). He added that the Austrian intelligence agency’s actions undermine the credibility of the IAEA.

He also pointed out that Austria and certain other European countries hypocritically remain silent regarding the Zionist regime’s possession of various weapons of mass destruction, while offering full support to the genocidal and occupying regime—thus obstructing the realization of a Middle East free of such weapons.

Baghaei accused the Austrian intelligence service of spreading lies and called on the Austrian government to issue an official statement regarding the irresponsible, provocative, and destructive behavior of one of its official institutions.
