Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Esmail Baghaei condemned Israel’s large-scale airstrikes on various parts of Syria, particularly the capital Damascus.
Baghaei stated, “It is now clear to everyone that the Israeli regime is the greatest threat to peace and stability in the region. This regime, supported by certain Western countries – especially the U.S., Germany, the UK, and France – poses an unprecedented threat to regional and global peace and security.”
Referring to regional developments over the past two years, Baghaei said that the situation in Syria is a result of the international community’s silence in the face of Israel’s militarism, expansionism, and attacks on civilians.
