Israel: NGO Workers to Be Verified
Jerusalem, January 7 (Hibya) - The Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that, following the incidents at Shifa Hospital, non-governmental organizations (NGOs) will need to ensure transparency.
Officials from the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that in an environment where NGOs are operating at Shifa Hospital, there are claims that a healthcare worker raped a hostage and that a doctor killed the hostage.
The statement further clarified that while Israel facilitates the delivery of humanitarian aid to Gaza, criticisms from Europe have been framed in a way that could allow NGOs to avoid transparency.
The Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that NGO workers will be verified and called on the relevant organizations to provide the necessary information.
