Israeli Foreign Ministry: Israel will not yield to any pressure on national interests
Jerusalem, July 28 (Hibya) – The Israeli Foreign Ministry described the European Commission’s recommendation to reduce Israel’s participation in a component of the Horizon Program as mistaken, unfortunate, and unjustified.
The Israeli Foreign Ministry criticized the European Commission’s recommendation to limit Israel’s involvement in a component of the Horizon Program, calling it incorrect, regrettable, and baseless.
“Such a decision, while Israel is fighting Hamas’ jihadist terror, only strengthens Hamas and weakens the chances of reaching a ceasefire and securing the release of hostages. Israel will work to ensure that this recommendation is not adopted by the EU Foreign Affairs Council, and we hope this will be the case. In any case, Israel will not submit to any pressure when its national interests are at stake,” the statement said.
