Reacting to the attacks, Defense Minister Katz said, “The arrogant dictator in Tehran has turned into a cowardly murderer. He is deliberately firing at Israel’s civilian areas in an attempt to stop an attack that undermines the capabilities of the Israeli army. The people of Tehran will pay the price. Very soon.”

A statement from the Israel Defense Forces regarding the operations reported that eight unmanned aerial vehicles from Iran were intercepted last night by navy missile ships.

It was stated that the Barak Magen air defense system and the long-range interceptor LRAD were used operationally for the first time:

“The missile ships of the 3rd Fleet, in cooperation with the Air Force, continue to be deployed across all theaters, serving as a force multiplier in the mission to defend the country’s skies.”

The Israel Defense Forces also detected the launch of a missile from Yemen toward Israeli territory and reported that defense systems are working to neutralize the threat.
