Commissioner-General Lazzarini said he mentioned a meeting with UNRWA staff in Gaza during his speech at the Two-State Solution Conference.

Lazzarini said: "I spoke about their courage and determination to continue serving their communities. The hunger, fatigue, anxiety, and loneliness paint a deeply grim picture. Words of anger and condemnation are no longer enough. It is time to act—to ensure a ceasefire in Gaza and achieve a long-overdue political solution that also addresses the plight of Palestinian refugees. I called on the member states who hold the fate of millions in their hands."
