Leyen: Ukraine’s EU membership will be an important security guarantee
Paris, January 6 (Hibya) – European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen announced that the Coalition of the Willing, gathered in Paris, aims to strengthen security guarantees for Ukraine.
European Commission President Leyen stated that the Coalition of the Willing will meet in Paris to discuss strong security guarantees for Ukraine.
She explained that a strong Ukrainian Armed Forces capable of deterring future attacks, a multinational force for deterrence, and binding commitments to support Ukraine in the event of a potential new attack from Russia are foreseen.
"Ukraine’s membership in the European Union will not only be an important security guarantee in itself but will also be a central pillar of our transformative vision of prosperity," she added.
