Lipavski: 2% of Czechia’s GDP will be allocated to defense
Prague, 3 December (Hibya) – Czech Foreign Minister Jan Lipavski made a statement regarding his participation in the NATO Foreign Ministers’ Meeting, offering assessments on the Alliance’s current strategic agenda.
Czech Foreign Minister Jan Lipavski attended the NATO Foreign Ministers’ Meeting. He stated that the meeting will address key issues such as support for Ukraine, threats originating from Russia, and the growing strategic challenges posed by China.
Highlighting Czechia’s role within NATO, Lipavski emphasized the importance of collective defense and investment in security. He announced that Czechia will allocate 2% of its GDP to defense, with the goal of increasing this share to 3% by 2030.
