Minister Dar Reiterates Commitment to Regional Cooperation on ECO Day
Islamabad, 3 December (Hibya) – Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, as a founding member of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO), issued a message congratulating the Member States on the occasion of ECO Day. Dar reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to enhancing regional connectivity, trade, energy cooperation, and sustainable development.

Dar reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to advancing shared objectives in regional connectivity, trade expansion, energy cooperation, and sustainable development. He also expressed expectations for ECO to play a more active and dynamic role in regional cooperation processes.
Dar stated: “Pakistan is honored to assume the Chairmanship of the ECO Council of Ministers for the 2026–2027 term, and remains committed to working with all Member States to advance our shared vision of peace, prosperity, and integration.”
