French President Emmanuel Macron emphasized France’s determination to combat the humanitarian crisis in Lebanon and preserve stability in the region.

Sending a message of support to the Lebanese Prime Minister, Macron said: “Mr. Lebanese Prime Minister Nawaf Salam, you know that we stand by your side. France supports Lebanon’s efforts to respond to the humanitarian crisis and the needs of the displaced population.”

Sharing details of the aid operations, Macron said: “We have already delivered 60 tons of humanitarian aid. In the coming days, we will deliver around 10 more tons of supplies through the established Euro-Arab bridge. In addition, we are also working to ensure that UNIFIL increases its support for humanitarian operations in the south of the country.”

Drawing attention to the security situation in the region, Macron stated: “The priority is to work together to strengthen the ceasefire, which remains fragile.”
