Trump: I will extend the ceasefire until the talks conclude one way or another
Washington, April 21 (Hibya) – U.S. President Donald Trump spoke about the internal political situation in Iran, Pakistan’s mediation efforts, and the ongoing military blockade.
U.S. President Donald Trump announced that he will extend the ceasefire until proposals are presented.
Assessing the political situation in Iran, Trump said: “The serious fragmentation of the Iranian government was not unexpected, and at the request of Pakistan’s Marshal Asim Munir and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, we were asked to halt our attacks on Iran until their leaders and representatives present a unified proposal.”
Stating that the military strategy will continue, Trump added: “Therefore, I have instructed our military to maintain the blockade and remain ready and capable in all other respects.”
Explaining his decision, Trump said: “I will extend the ceasefire until proposals are presented and the talks conclude one way or another.”
