Malaria vaccination begins in the city of Turmi, Ethiopia Region
New York, September 18 (Hibya) – World Health Organization Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus announced that malaria vaccination has started in the city of Turmi, in the Southern Region of Ethiopia.
In his statement, Ghebreyesus said: “For many years I have been working on combating malaria in Ethiopia, and the start of malaria vaccination in the city of Turmi in the Southern Region of Ethiopia makes me extremely happy. Our children deserve protection from malaria and a healthy start in life. #HopefulFuture”
