Metsola congratulates Ukraine’s new Prime Minister
Brussels, July 17 (Hibya) – President of the European Parliament Roberta Metsola congratulated Ukraine’s new Prime Minister, Yuliia Svyrydenko.
In a statement shared on social media, Metsola congratulated Svyrydenko on her appointment by the Ukrainian Parliament, the Verkhovna Rada, following the proposal of President Volodymyr Zelensky.
Referring to the Ukrainian people’s resistance against the invasion, Metsola said: “As Ukraine’s brave people continue to stand up to the aggressor, Europe’s support will grow even stronger.”
She concluded her message with: “For freedom, democracy and our shared European future.”
