Military Watch: US refueling aircraft depart bases en masse
Stockholm, June 16 (Hibya) – Military Watch magazine reported that the US Air Force’s KC-135 and KC-46 aerial refueling aircraft have been leaving their bases in large numbers.
The magazine wrote in its article: "The US Air Force has deployed KC-135 and KC-46 tankers from mainland bases across the Atlantic in an unprecedented manner, sparking serious speculation that these aircraft might be used in the ongoing Israel–Iran war."
According to Military Watch, the number of aircraft kept rising and exceeded 30 tankers by late June 15. It was reported that many Western countries had sent tankers to support Israeli Air Force refueling operations, raising the possibility that the newly deployed tankers could also be used to refuel Israeli aircraft.
The magazine added that another purpose of deploying the tankers across the Atlantic is to "prepare for refueling missions for US Air Force and Navy fighter jets and bombers, should the US become more actively involved in the war."
