Orban: Brussels is forcing Hungary to pay more
Budapest, 8 December (Hibya) – Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban issued a statement opposing Brussels’ decision on migration and payment obligations.
Prime Minister Orban stated that Brussels’ decision forces Hungary to pay more or accept migrants.
Orban said: “With today’s decision, Brussels is trying to force Hungary to pay more or take in migrants. This is unacceptable. Hungary already spends enough to protect the Union’s external borders.”
He added that they will not pay for even a single migrant: “We will not accept a single migrant, and we will not pay for other countries’ migrants. Hungary will not implement the measures of the Migration Pact. The rebellion begins.”
