Pakistan's Foreign Minister Dar to visit Kabul under UAP Railway Project
Islamabad, July 17 (Hibya) – Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Muhammad Ishaq Dar will pay a one-day visit to Afghanistan’s capital, Kabul, on July 17, 2025.
According to the ministry's statement, the visit will include the signing of a Framework Agreement for a Joint Feasibility Study of the Uzbekistan–Afghanistan–Pakistan (UAP) Railway Project.
Minister Dar will be accompanied by a high-level delegation comprising the Minister of Railways, the Special Representative for Afghanistan/SAPM, and the Secretary of the Ministry of Railways.
The UAP Railway Project aims to connect Uzbekistan and Pakistan through Afghanistan and provide Central Asian countries with access to Pakistani ports. The project is expected to enhance regional trade and transit capacity, while contributing to regional stability, economic growth, and development.
During the visit, Foreign Minister Dar will hold talks with Afghanistan’s Acting Foreign Minister and meet with the Acting Prime Minister to exchange views on bilateral relations as well as regional and international developments.
