In a Facebook post, Baghdasaryan wrote: “Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan received an official invitation from U.S. President Donald Trump to join the Peace Council as a founding member.”

She later stated that the prime minister accepted the invitation and reaffirmed the country’s commitment to “promoting peace.”

On the same day, the U.S. president threatened to impose tariffs on wine if France refused to join the Peace Council, saying he would apply a 200% tax on these products and then accept French President Emmanuel Macron’s invitation.

Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov also announced on January 19 that Russian President Vladimir Putin had received an invitation from the United States to join the “Peace Council” for a solution in the Gaza Strip.

On January 14, Axios reported that the United States had sent invitations to several countries to join the “Peace Council” for Gaza. On January 15, the U.S. leader announced that the formation of the “Peace Council” had been completed, adding that, in his view, it is the largest and most prestigious council ever established.
