Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic announced that the contract for implementing the Virovitica Swimming Sports-Tourism Center project has been awarded.

According to Plenkovic’s post, the project will be carried out under the ITU mechanism implemented within the Virovitica Urban Area. The total value of the project exceeds €16 million.

The project includes plans to build a swimming complex and a pedestrian and bicycle path in Virovitica.

Plenkovic said the project, which aims to develop sports, recreation and green infrastructure, will increase the capacity and diversity of sports and recreational facilities in Virovitica.
