Sanchez: The lessons learned from September 11 remain relevant
Madrid, September 11 (Hibya) - Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez commemorated the victims in a message marking the 25th anniversary of the September 11 terrorist attacks and emphasized the importance of international cooperation and law.
Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez noted that global security cannot be ensured by any country acting alone and underscored the importance of multilateral diplomacy and an international order focused on peace.
Commenting on the anniversary of the attacks, Sanchez said: “September 11 changed the world. Twenty-five years later, the lessons learned from that event remain relevant.”
Referring to the concept of security and international relations, Sanchez said: “No country can guarantee its security alone. We need more cooperation, more multilateralism and greater respect for international law.”
Sanchez concluded his statement by saying: “Today, we remember the victims and their families and express our full solidarity and affection for the American people on this somber day of remembrance. Spain will continue to work for peace, democracy and a rules-based international order.”
