President of Finland Alexander Stubb met with United States Secretary of State Marco Rubio within the framework of the Munich Security Conference (MSC 2026).

Sending a message of determination regarding the war in Ukraine, which was one of the main agenda items of the meeting, Stubb said, “We had a productive discussion on bilateral relations between Finland and the United States and, more broadly, on transatlantic relations. We also discussed Russia’s ongoing war of aggression in Ukraine.”

Stubb stated that a sustainable peace can only be achieved through a firm stance, saying, “We must continue to put pressure on Russia in order to achieve a sustainable peace.”
