Ukrainian President Zelensky stated that during his meeting with U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio, he briefed him on the situation at the front, Russian attacks, and their impact on Ukraine’s energy system.

Zelensky noted that they discussed how to help Ukraine protect lives and strengthen resilience during the winter cold, adding:

“We also had a detailed discussion about the diplomatic process and trilateral talks. It is very important that the meetings planned in Geneva are productive, and I thank the United States for its constructive approach. We also addressed the sequencing of steps. It is important to make progress on security guarantees and economic recovery.”

Zelensky expressed his gratitude to the United States for the significant support provided to Ukraine.
