Umerov: Continuing coordination with partners is our priority
Tallahassee, December 21 (Hibya) – Ukraine’s Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council, Rustem Umerov, stated that the meetings held with delegations from the United States (US) and Europe were constructive and productive.
Ukraine’s Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council, Umerov, announced that over the past three days in Florida they held a series of meetings with US and European partners. Umerov said, “The Ukrainian delegation held constructive and productive talks with partners from the United States and Europe.”
The Ukrainian delegation included Umerov and the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Major General Andriy Hnatov. The US delegation included Special Envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, as well as White House staff member Josh Gruenbaum. Umerov stated, “Meetings with European national security advisers ensured the alignment of a common strategic approach between Ukraine, the United States, and Europe.”
Umerov explained that four main issues were discussed during the meetings: “the development of the 20-point plan, a multilateral security guarantees framework, US security guarantees, and advancing the economic development and prosperity plan. In addition, process timelines and the sequencing of next steps were addressed.”
Umerov emphasized, “Ukraine is determined to achieve a fair and sustainable peace. The leadership and support of the United States are of great importance. Continuing coordination with partners is our priority.”
