UNRWA: Refugee community once again facing demolition threats
New York, November 6 (Hibya) – The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) reported that the Bedouin refugee community of Umm al-Kheir in the West Bank is once again facing demolition threats.
In a statement, UNRWA provided updates on the latest situation in Gaza and the West Bank.
The agency stated that it has expanded its life-saving health, education, and WASH activities across Gaza, reaching more than a thousand patients daily and over 35,000 children through face-to-face education.
“During the airstrikes carried out on October 28–29, more than 100 Palestinians were reported killed. Most UNRWA buildings in Gaza City sustained severe damage. In the West Bank, the Bedouin refugee community of Umm al-Kheir is once again facing demolition threats.”
