UNRWA reports war in Gaza affects elderly, disabled, and children the most
New York, July 17 (Hibya) – The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) stated that the ongoing conflict in Gaza is having the greatest impact on the elderly, people with disabilities, and children.
In its statement, UNRWA noted that the collapse of basic services and protection mechanisms has put these groups at severe risk. The statement emphasized the devastating impact of the humanitarian crisis particularly on the most vulnerable populations.
