Iranian TV: Three drones shot down over Isfahan
Stockholm, April 19 (Hibya) – Iranian state television said air defence systems in the Iranian city of Isfahan were activated against "an object suspected to be a drone".
Meanwhile, US media reports that Israel launched an attack on Iran in retaliation for the weekend attack.
ABC and CBS News reported the attacks early Friday, Mideast time, citing U.S. officials.
Iran activated air defense systems in many cities after the country's official broadcaster said explosions were heard near the central city of Isfahan, according to state media reports.
Israel had warned that Iran would respond after it launched hundreds of missiles and unmanned aerial vehicles at Israel over the weekend.
This attack followed an attack on the Iranian consulate in Damascus, widely blamed on Israel.
