Allegations of Espionage Targeting Alibaba's Main Logistics Hub in Europe
Belgium's intelligence service is said to have monitored Alibaba's main logistics center in Europe on suspicion of espionage.
According to reports, Belgium's security units allegedly worked to identify possible espionage or interference activities carried out by Chinese organizations, including Alibaba, according to a statement made to the Financial Times (FT).
The security service noted that Alibaba's presence has been a concern for the State Security Service of Belgium (VSSE). A statement from VSSE stated, "China has the intention and capability to use this data for non-commercial purposes."
