Araghchi: This is not a negotiation, it's an attempt to impose conditions
Tehran, December 24 (Hibya) Iranian Foreign Minister Seyyid Abbas Araghchi criticized the U.S. (United States) approach to diplomacy.
Iranian Foreign Minister Seyyid Abbas Araghchi made a statement regarding the U.S. (United States) approach to diplomacy.
Araghchi said, “The new definition of diplomacy introduced by the U.S.: We are ready for meaningful negotiations, but forget your internationally recognized rights. This is an imposition process, not negotiations, and certainly not meaningful negotiations.”
Criticizing the U.S. stance, Araghchi said, “When the U.S. opened fire on our people and undermined diplomacy, we were conducting negotiations, and the whole world witnessed this.”
Regarding Iran’s approach, Araghchi said, “We have always done what we do: we resisted those who attacked us, we confronted them, and made them regret.”
Araghchi concluded his statement with, “Reaching out for diplomacy does not mean sending bombers and then bragging about their failures as successes.”
