Israeli President Isaac Herzog commented on the delivery of the first laser-based defense system to the Israeli Air Force by the company Rafael.

Herzog said, “Yesterday entered the history books. Rafael supplied the Israeli Air Force with the laser defense system ‘Or Eitan’ for the first time.”

Referring to the purpose of his visit to Rafael, Herzog said, “The purpose of my visit to Rafael today is to thank the employees who represent Israel’s best examples of innovation, professionalism, and determination.”

Herzog concluded his statement by saying, “I am grateful to everyone who makes a vital contribution to the defense of the State of Israel and to its global leadership in technology. Honor to Israel.”
