Pakistan and China held talks on arms control and security issues
Beijing, August 20 (Hibya) - Pakistan’s Deputy Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ Department of Arms Control, Disarmament and International Security, Ambassador Tahir Andrabi, met in Beijing with Sun Xiaobo, Director-General of the Department of Arms Control of the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The meeting was held within the framework of the 10th Bilateral Consultation between Pakistan and China on arms control, non-proliferation, and disarmament.
The two sides exchanged extensive views on issues related to global and regional peace and security. They also discussed the security situation in South Asia and factors threatening strategic stability.
Ambassador Andrabi also attended a roundtable organized by the China Arms Control and Disarmament Association (CACDA), where he met with diplomats, experts, and scholars.
