The ministry said that the reactions of some Israeli officials following France’s recognition of the State of Palestine are hostile to peace and reject political and negotiated solutions to the conflict.

The statement added that these reactions open the door to continued violence, war, and tension in the region:

“They also reflect Israel’s insistence on denying the just and legitimate national rights of the Palestinian people, as outlined in UN resolutions and recognized by international consensus. Furthermore, they reflect expansionist colonial plans aligned with Israel’s official policy to deepen crimes of genocide, starvation, displacement, and annexation committed daily by the Israeli government in the occupied West Bank, including the Gaza Strip and East Jerusalem.”
