Albares: International law must be respected
Madrid, June 22 (Hibya) – Spain’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, the European Union, and Cooperation, Jose Manuel Albares, stated that he is following the situation in the Middle East with great concern and stressed that international law must be respected.
Minister Albares said that he is closely and anxiously following developments in the Middle East.
He called for de-escalation and maximum restraint, stating: "International law must be respected. The solution is diplomacy."
Albares added: "To Spaniards in Iran and neighboring countries: Our embassies are operating at full capacity to assist you under any circumstances. Please stay in contact."
