Budrys: A secure Arctic is a shared strategic interest of both Europe and the US
Vilnius, January 18 (Hibya) – Lithuanian Foreign Minister Kęstutis Budrys stated that a secure Arctic is of strategic importance to both Europe and the United States (US), calling for the strengthening of the transatlantic alliance.
Foreign Minister Budrys said, “A secure Arctic is a shared strategic interest of both Europe and the United States.”
Budrys noted that Europe has demonstrated its readiness to work together with the US and under NATO to strengthen Arctic security.
The minister added, “The threat of trade tariffs is regrettable. Instead, we should work together for a safer and stronger transatlantic alliance.”
