Deniz polisinden Adalar çevresinde 'deniz taksi' denetimi

Lazzarini reminded that a law implemented by Israel in January banned UNRWA from operating in areas it considers under its sovereignty and cut off contact with Israeli authorities. As a result, international UNRWA staff were effectively expelled from the area.

He emphasized that despite this, UNRWA continues its work, largely thanks to the courage and determination of its Palestinian staff, maintaining essential services such as healthcare and education. He noted that despite arrests, threats, and harassment, services continue: over 15,000 health services are provided daily in Gaza, and nearly 50,000 students continue their education in UNRWA schools in the West Bank.

Lazzarini called on the international community to support UNRWA’s efforts and ensure Palestinian refugees’ access to their basic rights.
