Russell: In 2024, UNICEF delivered HPV vaccines to over 20 million girls
New York, June 21 (Hibya) – UNICEF Executive Director Catherine Russell announced that in 2024, UNICEF provided HPV vaccines to more than 20 million girls.
Russell stated that cervical cancer can be eliminated and that vaccination against the human papillomavirus (HPV) plays a key role in achieving this.
"In 2024, UNICEF delivered HPV vaccines to over 20 million girls. Together with our partners, we aim to reach 100 million girls by 2029," she said.
