Schoof: Iran must not acquire nuclear weapons
Amsterdam, June 22 (Hibya) – Dutch Prime Minister Dick Schoof stated that their position on the nuclear program has always been clear: Iran must not acquire nuclear weapons.
Schoof expressed concern about the recent developments in the Middle East.
“The Netherlands has always had a clear stance on the nuclear program: Iran must not acquire nuclear weapons. I call on all parties to prevent further escalation. Negotiations are ultimately the only path to a sustainable solution,” he said.
Schoof added that the Cabinet is closely monitoring the situation, and the National Security Council will convene at 12:00.
