Zelensky: 176 people evacuated from Israel to Egypt
Kyiv, June 22 (Hibya) – Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that before the U.S. took active measures against Iran’s nuclear facilities, Ukrainian diplomats and Defense Intelligence had carried out a key phase in evacuating Ukrainian citizens and citizens of partner countries from the danger zone.
Zelensky noted that 176 people were evacuated from Israel to Egypt and that evacuation efforts from Iran to Azerbaijan are ongoing.
He added that Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha had provided information on the activities of regional embassies and the evacuation efforts underway.
“Among those evacuated by Ukraine were citizens of Moldova, Latvia, Azerbaijan, Estonia, and the United States. We are responding to every request and will continue evacuation operations. I have instructed the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the intelligence services to ensure full protection for our people in the Middle East and the Gulf region,” said Zelensky.
