Starmer: Iran must never be allowed to develop nuclear weapons
London, June 22 (Hibya) – UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer said Iran must never be allowed to develop nuclear weapons and that the US has acted to mitigate this threat.
Prime Minister Starmer stated that Iran’s nuclear program represents a serious threat to international security.
He emphasized that Iran must never be permitted to develop nuclear weapons and that the US has taken steps to reduce this threat, adding:
"The situation in the Middle East remains unstable, and regional stability is a priority. We call on Iran to return to the negotiating table and reach a diplomatic solution to end this crisis."
UK Foreign Secretary David Lammy also said Iran should never possess nuclear weapons, stating:
"The US acted to reduce the threat to the global community. The UK did not participate in these strikes. We urge Iran to exercise restraint and reach a diplomatic solution to end the crisis."
